Boost to high?

I got my car tuned for the first time yesterday, and these are the parts that are installed:

Ebay TBE (with stock cat)
K&N Drop In Filter
Walbro Fuel Pump
Forced Performance 18lb Wastegate

So long story short, we put on the wastegate and fuel pump yesterday, and my friend takes my car out for a spin to tune it. He says that the boost is reading (on ProSport Mech. Boost Gauge) around 24psi with a boost spike of 30psi real quick. He said that he tuned it so I should be able to run with the boost like that, but 30psi boost spike worrys me. He said my A/F was around 12 and that I had pretty much 0 knock at all. Its smooth as can be and its insanely fast.

This is my DD, so I'm not trying to blow it up in a week. What do you guys think?

PS- I didn't think that the wastegate would get my boost up that much, I don't even have a boost controller or anything to raise it, so it much of raised it with the wastegate.

Depends on how accurate your boost gauge is.
30psi is too much on pump. Your A/F at 12 is also lean.

Who tuned it?

It may not be around 12, I can't remember exactly what he said since I didn't know what the hell he was talking about. All I remember is that it was between 11-14ish.

And a guy named Kacey tuned it. He has tuned about 20 evos from around NC, and a few from this forum.

Also, would getting my car tuned make my engine run alot hotter.

It seems that my car's engine is alot hotter now, and it seems like the fan runs alot more now, even when I'm not punching it.

i am most certainly no expert. but i am almost certain that 30psi with pump gas is NOT safe. of normal even. 24psi also i think is kind of high for an average.

just my thoughts. but your gonna need some more opinions. and figure out what the a/f is. I assume your using a wide band o2 sensor.

i would definitely lower it. You should be spiking 24lbs and tapering to around 20-21

Alright, so if I don't go into boost at all this week until I get it fixed, It won't hurt my engine right?

And also, when you get your car tuned, does it make your car hotter because my cars engine bay is insanely hot. It was hot before, but now its really really hot hah.

Is that something that is expected, or should I tell my tuner to look at that.

If there is too much preload on the Actuator it can spike like that. Try taking some preload out.

Are you still running stock boost control?

I'm still runing the stock boost controller, and yeah there is too much preload on the actuator. I just can't beileve there was enough so that I was running 24lbs of boost though.

The whole point in me using the aftermarket wastegate was that he could raise my boost up more and have it so that it would hold the boost, and not taper off.
