It would seem to be correct. It looks like you are referencing the full RPM scale and not a specific scale that is only 2k-6k. I would suggest opening the elements up to like 20 or something and you will see what I mean.

It very well could be that, but have you compared it to a JDM ROM to see if they are specific or reference the whole rpm range?

I was thinking 76b0 looked like a good canidate but even then its not quite on...not that I can see what its used for though.

I just checked a JDM IX ROM and you're right JB. There is no range defined. It's all or nothing with the JDM ROM. Back to the drawing board.

Sorry guys about not updating last night. My laptop crapped out and I had to reinstall Windows real late. ECUFlash was acting up pretty bad and only connected once and that was to download the current ROM that was loaded. But it only did this once the car was started. Really weird. I'm hoping to give it a go again tonight

Ok guys, just looked at my rom again, and found to incomplete tables (if you go into options there is an option to show invalid tables but greyed out),

Anyway under timing I have found an incomplete / invalid tables listed as:

Boost Enhancement Adv/Ret Map1 (Anti-lag)
Boost Enhancement Adv/Ret Map2 (Anti-lag)

Could these tables hold the key to the missing link ??

^the main problems were teh air injection time and the fuel. The tables arent polling the correct address, or they are inactive and need to be activated.

anyone with the JDM IX been having any luck with the SAS stuff?

Yep I know there inactive (which is why they are grey'd out), but the fact there listed means they are in the ecu, and the interesting part is they mention anti-lag.

So someone has found parts of it at sometime in the past, but either didn't know how to activate it, or find all the info to finish off the table

I think

In the other ROMS, those are actually a combination of the EGR (most likely) and Dynamic Advance map. They appear to be mislabeled and actually do not have any function with the Antilag. Bryan and I had a thread going awhile back.

Missing link to what? I mean, JDM IX's can already do ALS with or without SAS hardware by retarding timing maps. All this shows is that there "might" be a separate map to do this. Although this theory has been shot down by JB above.

To follow on to what JB said, I checked a JDM IX ROM that I know has ALS working and those tables were not listed. would be nice if we had a separate timing map for ALS, but it appears that was not their intended use. Anything "Boost Enhancement" related seems to fall into this category, IE Boost Enhancement (Anti-Lag) Start RPM and Boost Enhancement (Anti-Lag) Stop RPM as well.

ok no worries, I thought it was worth mentioning, and hoped that it would get it working on the 7/8's.

Nevermind, I am sure we will get it sorted eventually

Nothing is impossible. It only takes time or money. Since everyone is working on this for free, I think its just a matter of time.

Yes there is a table that hasnt been defined yet. BarryC found it for his VIII, but I dont think anyone has started looking for the IX as of yet. I think he found that the value could only be increased on his an additional -5*...from -5 to -10. It may well be maxxed as far what it will allow.
