Tested on Pocket PC 2003SE, runs under .net compact 2.0
Logs as fast as the PC based loggers.

Requires VS2005 trial or full version to compile.

Do no think of this as a consumer release, it is my project of which I'm sharing the code. I'll not be able to support it although will be interested in other deployments.
John - with VS2005 you mean the Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition 90-Day Trial - 2734.3 MB? Just doublechecking before I start to download.

Why do I need this .net compact to run your logger?

Hi

Yes that sounds correct, I have the studio 2005 90 day trail to compile the code and .net compact needs to be installed on your mobile device.

Yes VS 2005 download.

You need to install .net 2.0 compact on the device which VS2005 should do for you.

john - the new ftdi driver should install the COM port as well. I still haven't received the USB host cable for my Acern50 to test this - but here is the link http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP/...4VCPDriver.zip

may be you can get it work and talk you logger to the com port to te tactrix cable.

My old PDA doesn't have USB host though.

I have rewritten this logger to talk to the Tactrix cable using FTDI - see new post about to come.

Just to update - I have managed to get the Tactrix cable working and logging into a PDA (Acer n50 - with USB host support) - using some kind of test software (build based on johnbank's serial logger). Once I get it cleaned up - I will post.
