Cause of high idle
I also had the EXACT same problem. installed the TB and injectors at the same time, but did not remove the EGR.
it would idle around 2k during warm up, but would idle fine when warmed up.
fixing boost leaks and adjusting idle in the ecu did not help.
now about 2 weeks ago, i turned down the BISS screw about 3/4 of a turn. i dont think that had an immediate effect, but all of a sudden, it stopped idling high.

Update - I have adjusted the BISS, it required a few clocwise turns, in fact it is almost at teh max amount of clockwise turns. This seems to have fixed the idle, it still is a tiny bit high when you start and takes an extra second or two to come down but it does settle to 800 RPM.
Oh, when one of the lines popped off the EGR valve I also noticed I had less occurance of a low - mid load, low rpm (load about 100% and RPM about 2800) knock problem I've been trying to solve for a while.
Since the EGR recylces CO2 to extinguish NOx's, I'm wondering if that had any part if not coincidence since the line was on the side of the diaghram that would make the valve tend to open.
Anyway, the real issue above would be intake temp with low air volume and the EGR malfunction masked it
