I was watching timing on mitsulogger.
It stayed the same previous to 9 counts, during, when I let off it went back up to 30+ *'s.

Yeah, that's what I figured you did. However, just looking at timing tells you very little. Timing can actually go up or stay the same from previous values when it is being pulled due to knock. It all depends on what load/RPM cells you are falling in and what the timing numbers are in those cells.

Quick example: Say that in one cell your timing value is 7 and the then there is a jump from 7 to 10 in your next cell that you would hit. If you are knocking 9 counts, then if you looked at logged timing you would see 7* when you hit both cells.

I see what you mean. ^ That could be the case.
I'm going to rip the IC plumbing and intake stuff off the car and try and "un-previous owner" the car a little. Some of the vac lines and stuff are just run stupid. I didn't really want to screw with anything at first but due to increasing things popping up it needs done.

Car still has a very annoying tick that will not go away either.

I didn't get a chance to get the logworks running last night, as I had to drop some parts off to a buddy. I'll try to get something going on that today to get more accurate logging so I can have something better to report back with.

Car still knocks at part throttle in 4th & 5th.
Heavy part throttle about 1BAR of boost.
It knocks ALOT. Typically 6-9 counts before I can let up.

Might be due to the boost leak.

If anyone wants to look at the maps the car is running PM me. Maybe you'll see something I don't.

Excellent idea.

That would be listed under the "map fix" flash for $125 correct?

Does this include a different direction tune? Say... leaning it out, and being conservative with the timing instead of running it pig rich and adding a ton of timing? This 15mpg sh** has got to end. My Talon gets well over 25mpg on 950's. And pulls 25x cleaner. Part throttle is just that, part throttle. Not a nightmare.

Let me boost leak test it first. As tuning with a leak will accomplish nothing. If its not a leak, which I'm sure it is. Then I have something far more wrong than the tune. As it was on this tune already, and "was" fine. Now its not. Which means leak - or D'oh broke it.

Best bet is to send us the hex file and let us give you an opinion on it. Let us know the octane used as well as the mods list (specific).

Do you do patched roms? Say I wanted it patched for MAP which is now available... I already have the CEL / knock patch. And I imported the flash the car came with onto it.

also,
Does the opinion equate to; I pay, then I get an opinion.
Or: I send it, and you give me an opinion, and we go from there.

?

No you send it and we review it.

MAP conversion is not available yet. We have worked with mixmastermatt for a long time.

I still don't think that is the best option available even when it does get released.

I personally am using evoscan and dataloglab. I was using logworks however I have a vista laptop and logworks 3 beta is to glitchy and logworks seems to have fallen out of active development after 3 being promised for release almost a year ago.
dataloglab is a powerful tool but can be a bit complex to setup for all the currently available data parameters.
evoscan has been great so far and I am looking forward to native maptracer. the charting is a bit clunky but I am used to dataloglab soo....

to TTP. I sent it, forgot to mention. Nothing but sunoco 93. I included my s/n so, I'm sure you can add that. Sorry.

I'm still xp pro, so if its xp friendly I'll probably use whatever I can get to graph and scroll the easiest.

I didn't get to really sit down and figure out the logworks in conjunction with the 1.3 openport. And see how I like that yet. The Talon hasn't gotten driven since I got the Evo 2 weeks ago. So I used that to run my errands today.

The previous owner mentioned something about the Innovate, to get it to log, you had to unplug something on the control module. And then plug into the gauge to get it to log? I asked. I'm familiar with the AEM not the Innovate.
(And that just got wired into the rear o2 and logged with DSMlink)

Does that sound right?
I was paying attention but it sounded stupid? Why would I have to unplug sh**?

nah you have to run the tactrix plugin then logworks if I remember correctly. you use the cable that came with the lm1 to interface with the pc and logworks uses the tactrix cable for the other data items. you shouldnt need to unplug the ecm for anything. just both cables connected to the laptop

You have the same rom id as I do..You must log load to tune..Luckily we have patches to log load, rpm, and airflow with evoscan with an increased baudrate and increased accuracy with theese patches..PM me if you are having trouble with something..
Logworks is great software, and it has advantages over other programs, but if I were you I would definitely get evoscan to start with..Yes it has zoomable graphing

How about this for a boost leak... omfg...
Say Asmo, why are your a/f ratios in the 8's under boost? Here's why...

So yeah, I ordered a new one of those and put a 2.5" in its place with a DSM turbo/intake gasket on the small side as a sleeve. And cranked it down as tight as humanly possible as a temporary fix. It leaks still a little I'm sure. But it keeps a/f's in the 10's. (should be low 11's) These couplers Buschur uses are F'n garbage! Hump hose or not, I've seen toilet paper thicker. They're like 1 and a half ply. My next order of business is to get the rest of them off the car and replace all the cheap *** worm clamps with t-bolts as well. I can't believe Buschur uses this junk considering his FMIC kit $800. SSAC uses better couplers and gives you T-bolts. Sad, sad, sad...

This gets fixed, then I log and tune.
Couplers a week or so out with my ES hyperflex kit so I can do the rear diff bushings and some others as well.
