Cant connect to ecu

I'm Currently running an outdated vishnu Xede... and i feel its time to move away from a piggy back and take advantage of the ecu's natural abilities...

unfortunately, Everytime i've tried to connect to my ecu with ecuflash it says that it cant. I'm using a tactrix 1.3u cable and with evoscan it connects fine. i've made several logs without issue... which seeing how much knock i make around 4k i definitely need a new flash. lol

I know from precious experience that my ecu is locked for sure. but ecu unlocker used to work. i've tried using it and nothing... i'm running v1.42 ecuflash.

is there anything i can do to open my ecu? am i just out of practiced and forgotten something? idk i'm at a loss and definitely want to start moving forward with this...

u have both plugs in right, the actual tracix that plugs into obd2 port then theres another plug right next to that to the left im pretty sure needs to be plugged in . it should connect from the tracix to that plug. i dunno if that makes sense

i've tried with the reflash plug and with out it... but nothing either way... ecuflash has never worked on this computer... when i used to use it and pulled my map before i had a different laptop. so restoring it wont work... the settings i'm running on ecuflash are the factory ones.. .i deleted everything related to it that i could find and reinstalled the program twice... and i had i believe v1.38 originally and updated to v1.42 and that didnt change anything...

i tried to connect again after restarting my computer and still nothing... idk if my commport settings might be messing with ecuflash's ability to link to my ecu...

use this program to remove all files related to ecuflash, in all folders and registry. Like you I had a problem with ecuflash 1.42, it worked fine for 1 year, then one day I connect, and its now working. Uninstalling and reinstalling 1.42, and 1.3x did not help, but once I run this program, cleared everything, and then reinstalled 1.42, Im able to connect again.

Thx again to guys on this forum for telling me about this program.

I've seen 1.3 cables suddenly no longer reflash with ecuflash but they would still log with evoscan. Try borrowing a friends 1.3 and or 2.0 cable to rule out a bad cable.

i'm running the 1.3u cable that puts the car in diagnostic mode... (flashing acd and abs lights) i only mention this cause i forgot that when i used to be able to open the ecu i had a different cable... idk if this new cable is causing it but it kinda makes sense to me being that evoscan sells the cable... of course itll work with evoscan and may not work with ecuflash...

any other ideas.... thanks for the revo... computer is actually a lil smoother after i cleaned it all up...

That up in there, in red, that's what you want to pay attention to. The problem isn't that you can't connect to the computer. The problem is that EcuFlash can't connect to your cable. It may be a bad cable as mentioned before, but it's more likely to be a driver issue.

I think you've been uninstalling and reinstalling the wrong thing. You need to go after the drivers. Get rid of EcuFlash, and the drivers, then reboot, then reinstall EcuFlash.

I noticed with my cable that I have to unplug and plug in the USB cable to the computer after Evoscan is opened. I don't know why but I suspect its because it sends a little jolt of energy when re-plugged in and basically Ecuflash or Evoscan recognizes the cable only after being opened on the computer or Evoscan GPS unit. This is just what I have to go through personally, not sure if any others have the same issue as me.
