Evoscan error, please help!

When starting up evoscan i always get this error,

" Error:Unable to load DLL 'FTD2XX.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E) "

What does this mean?

I was told to download ecuflash and I have, but I still have this problem.

Thanks

I believe this might be the tactrix driver dll file. Has Evoscan ever worked? Did you change port from where you normally plug cable into laptop? Have you tried to completely uninstal reboot then reinstall? You can get different Tactrix drivers from AktiveMatrix or the the EcuFlash forum I believe that might help. I believe they are called "proper tactrix drivers" all of this is assuming it is the driver for the cable although I am not sure.

Good Luck

goto the directory C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash

Copy the FTD2XX.dll to the C:\windows\system32 directory.

Side Notes:
I never could make Ecu Flash 1.32 work for me or even 1.30 so I'm sticking with good ole 1.29a

I havent yet used a tactrix cable on my comp. I'll try and download new drivers and see what happens.

Its not in that directory specifically

I think its under a subdirectory called "Drivers" just poke around in that folder.

Yes it should be there under OpenECU\EcuFlash\Drivers\<processor architecture>

Where x86 is 32 bit and x64 is 64 bit. What version of ECUFlash do you have?

To the OP, why are you trying this without using the cable? Until you actually plug in the cable the drivers won't be fully installed from what I remember. Besides the point that without the cable you really can't do anything useful with either program.

Thank you, now the error has disappeared.

I just wanted to make sure the program worked and what not before going out and getting stuff done.

Thanks

Had this error message after starting evolivemap (evoscan was running fine) after upgrading to win10 and thanks for that solution - it worked once again
