That 14.7 in the map is not always going to be what you get. You need to log and see the AFR you get for each load cell. Think of the AFR in the map as a number applied with an equation will get you to the AFR that you want the car to run at. I use the below equation as I have found that my Fuel Map is about 1.7-2.0 richer than what my cars Wideband O2 is for the same load cell.

DAFR=Desired AFR
MAFR=Fuel Map AFR
AAFR=Wideband AFR(actual reading)
NMAFR=New Map AFR

DAFR x MAFR / AAFR = NMAFR

Example: You want 11.4 for a specific load cell (DAFR). Currently the Fuel Map for that load cell says 9.7 (MAFR). And your Wideband log says 11.13 (AAFR). Use the equation to get the number you will need to plug into the Feul Map to get that AFR you desire.
11.4 x 9.7 / 11.13 = 9.9353
Thus you plug in 9.9 into the load cell and then log and you should get 11.4 in that load cell. Let me know if you have any questions about it, it can be confusing at first.

Nice info but it only dips between 1500-2200rpm from a stop. Tps is about 35-45% and it goes from 14.8 afr strait to 10.0 or less just in the rpm range then it bogs so much it almost dies. If i use 20% throttle its not so bad but still there. It has never done this before the build. The rest of the rpms from 2500 and above are fine. If i slip the clutch at 2500rpm and dont let it go below 2k then it dont do it thats how i know the problem is in the area of 1500-2200rpm. i changed the open loop low/high throttle it helped with that be now it feels gutless up to 3500rpm. I have been tuning for 4 years now and never had a problem like this. Is it cause of the ported head? Not sure. This is the first complete built motor i have tried to tune. everything else is fine just that area is the problem. here r the scallings for the injectors:

RC1200CC:
SCALING: 665
INJECTOR LAT
4.69.....3.744
7.03.....2.208
9.38.....1.560
11.72...1.200
14.06...0.864
16.41...0.672
18.68...0.576
Both fuel trims are within +2/-2 as well

I have but it gets worse. I think I may need to rescale the MAF. It is reading 256hz at 60% throttle @ 125 load and the load drops to 95load cause it runs rich in that area

maf + maf adder means you just apply LTFT + STFT percentage to it, instead of having to add the adder.

example:

@125hz youre LTFT+STFT is +10%, which means the ECU is adding 10% fuel

So you add 10% to 410, which is 451.

hello everybody.

I have a problem to active openloop in my jdm evo7 2001.
I have tried a lot of solutions,
I put OL load #1 and 2 tables at 0%, 45%, OL throttle low and high load at 0 Volts, too "full time open loop" activated in ecuperiphery0 but it seems do not work really.
I begin to despair
Can someone to help me please?

I want to set my afr at 15.5 at idle and cruise for the best fuel economy.

- what is the best, openloop for the full time or not?

- Near the rev limiter, I loged my afr at 9.6:1, but I saw 8 knocksum, yet I did not tune my ignition map and I have 15 psi of boost at the rev limiter.

- when I loged knocksum, what ignition map do I modify, high, low, or both?

9.6:1 on pump gas? That is very rich and bare in mind that is also not ideal. I would lean that portion out a bit if it were my car. I modify both high and low ignition map. I keep the low ignition map a bit more conservative than the high ignition map.
