So when I plug in my tactrix and usb into my laptop I open ecuflash. After its opend I cant click the blue icon to read from the ecu..... whats wrong ne ideas?

 

did you turn the ignition past auxillery to the on position?

 

Yes tried that im getting a error code. 15:41:16.671] error loading FTD2XX.DLL
Says it on Evoscan also. Dunno should I reinstall both?

 

Do u have a prior tune on your ecu? This should be in the Ecuflash section

Then its a pretty straight forward hook up. I have heard of the newer version of ecuflash 1.33 having problems working in xp. But I use v1.29. I can send u that if you'd like

The reason you can't upload/download from ECU is because you haven't installed the cable after installing ECUFlash.
Before you run the program, hook the cable to your car and to your computer but don't turn your car on. If you laptop's slow, its gonna take couple minutes for the 'Windows has found a new hardware' message. You need to run it twice (it'll pop up automatically second time as well).
After the cable is installed, run your ECUFlash.
Blue icon should be available now.
