It looks like you found one of the "pro" tuners here in SoCal that doesn't know how to tune the MIVEC map. I'd hate to see what your timing map looks like..but I could probably guess since it's likely that I've fixed tunes from the same tuner.

Minimum change the mivec map to the jdm rs map. Check the tuning mivec thread its in there. If RRE tuned you then he must have been high. That mivec map is weaker than stock and you should tell him that!Looking at the timing and fuel maps looks like he didn't do much at all I hope you didn't pay very much I could have done a whole lot better and I'm new to the tuning game.

there are prolly two ways to skin that cat. I wouldn't be so quick to discount what you have.
Of course it might be fun to run the two maps against each other to see if there is a difference. nj vrs yours

sort of inappropriate to post a guys tune, just hope no one uses it without knowing all the particulars.

I have an eight, so I shouldn't be saying anything.

I wasn't gonna post up the whole tune... but once they told me the mivec maps were bad, I now need help to fix it. So in order to help me fix it, they have to see where I am now, to tell me where to go from here.

This is what I was working on last night... After seeing the Agressive map, I decided to try it out on my car. Then I started advancing the timing until I got to where small amounts of Knock began.... And this is what I got so far...

I have no Wideband yet so I can't really do Fuel... could have used the 3OO I spent on the tune for one...

BTW here's my mod list

Qtp 3in downpipe with electronic cut out
Dejon MBC @ 23 spike
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Invidia O2 housing
Injen Intake with upper and lower IC pipes.

If Dr. Grey tuned your car you definitely have a great tune. He has been tuning DSM's since the mid '90s. He is probably the best in CA.

Dr. Grey is the best tuner in SoCal and probably all of CA. He has tuned more DSM's and Evo's than most other SoCal tuners. He doesnt just tune street cars he also tunes race cars for shops. He does not work for Road Race he works with Road Race. You have been listening to the amateur tuners and taking their advice over a man that has been tuning for over 10 years. If you have a problem with your tune you should take it up with him first and not post up the tune on an open forumn.
