EcuFlash Versions
I noticed it's pretty annoying trying to search for all the different versions for ECUFlash. I am in need of a certain version and it's such a hassle for me to find what I need and I figured why not start a thread on where people are getting their d/l sources from. Can you guys link to where you are getting these versions from?
EcuFlash 1.28/1.29a/1.30/1.31, (obviously 1.33 is found on openecu.org).
I am specifically looking for version 1.31 and/or 1.30 please.

Maybe because he's having the same problem I had along with many others. 1.33 wouldn't work for me and 1.2x does.
I just wiped 1.29 off my computer in favor of 1.33.
Or I would have sent it to you. I have to keep my work laptop and home laptop the same versions because of patches and such. My pocket PC autosyncs my tuning folder between the two so I always have the same stuff wherever I am. Makes life easy.
Sorry man. I haven't had problems with the 1.3X+

To the folks using 1.33 and having problems, I'm curious:
- What exactly doesn't work?
- What version of Windows are you running?

Thank you, and for Mr. Wise *** making the comment on Windows 3.1, go back and sit in the corner. Main 'issue' I've been seeing is the greying out of certain fields (ie. 2-byte fields/Init code/Knock sensor 2-8/leanspoolenable and disable)...the coding is copied correctly as per direction for EcuFlash 1.31+, but what's the reason to this?

Also, even some regular tables wouldnt show up for me in 1.31+.

1.28-.30 work well with mods and such. 1.31+ FTL
Interesting. I'm running tephra's NLTS/etc ROM, plus a bunch of other changes to accomodate the GM BCS, JDM MAP, and boost-targetted BCS/wastegate control. Things are working fine for me with 1.33 (for an interesting definition of "fine", see below).
I'm still curious, are people having these problems with Vista or with XP? Vista made some pretty radical changes to application-specific configuration files, specifically when you "install for everyone" vs. "install just for me". Changes end up getting written to C:\Users\username\AppData\VirtualStore instead of to the proper installation directory for the application, and I've seen a few misbehaving applications (EcuFlash being the biggest offender so far) that will get the writing portion of the change correct, but will still read the originally-installed versions in "C:\Program Files". (So, in my case, editing 96940011.xml ends up saving my changes to the AppData directory in my home directory, but EcuFlash never sees it; I have to manually copy the file over.) There's a good introduction to the permission-based filesystem virtualization that Microsoft added to Vista here, if anyone's curious.
I'm going to try reinstalling EcuFlash at some point with "install only for this user" as my choice instead, to see if that gets rid of this half-baked VirtualStore crap. Note that I never had this issue with 1.33 on XP. (Or on Linux under Wine.
I'd kill for a Linux build of EcuFlash, or at least the source code so I could build it myself...)

Also, here is a .xml file (US IX vers. 15) I made that is very organized. It has 2 byte rpm and load, all the MAP sensor tables, lean spool table, plus load based boost section and psi based boost section.
