buschur mass air pipe w/filter version 2

how many of you guys run this setup? does buschur's intake pipe and filter mess with any of the maf readings? i've been searching and i've heard some yes's and some no's. anyone with an absolute answer? i'd like to know before hand so i can prepare for maf scaling.

It was only altering my readings by 3% or so. I left the scaling alone because I would probably do more damage than good for 3%.

The buschur open filter and the ebay filter of the same design does not mess with the MAF readings at all. They are the best open filters I have seen and I have tuned evo's with pretty much every single variant. Some filters wreck absolute havoc on MAF readings. This becomes a major problem with ecu-controlled boost.

The metal intake pipe might change it a tad like JB mentioned.

^That's not the one.

If you search ebay you can find a filter for $15 that screws directly to MAF, no adapter needed. That would be the right one. It's red(dish)

I was pointing to Buschur's new filter. I looked on their website and they show a filter, adapter, and rubber gasket for 80 bucks. That's the same one I linked above(at least it looks the same). Here's a link to Buschur's 80 dollar open filter, adapter and gasket. You can make the call to see if it's the same one buschur sells or not.

That new filter and adapter BR sells is just a vibrant filter and vibrant adapter. (or whoever supplies vibrant with their filter/adapters)

It's a approx $21 adapter with a 4.5" inlet vibrant filter which can be purchased for $21:

Why spend $80 when I can get everything for like $50....thanks everyone!

Anyone know what the additional rubber/plastic part is that comes with the vibrant filter from buschur? Will I need any additional hardware like screws or a tension clamp? Thanks!
