Injector scaling help

I'm hoping someone can offer some help on here. There isn't much support on Nasioc regarding injector scaling. I helped a friend install PE 650's in his WRX last night. The stockers are 480 and the stock map has them scaled to 420. He scaled the 650's to 620, 600, 580, 550 ,530, 500 and none were working. The car idled like hell and the CEL kept flashing. The only thing changed on the map was the injector scaling. Nothing was done to the latency tables or anything. Hopefully someone can point us in the right dirction to get this thing to run better. I looked at some threads on here and tried to apply what I read to this situation, but nothing helped.

Definately look at the latency tables. I had the same issue with mine. IM willing to bet the car idles real lean at idle. Have you done any logging yet?

I had to go slightly higher on my modded 740's

Thanks. Only logging that we've done is looking at the stft at idle with the different scaling. We were getting swings of +12 to -11.

Well went back to work on it today and noticed one of the injectors are leaking (spraying) fuel. So we didn't do any logging or tuning obviously. My question is should we keep the stock scaling and only change the latency table to start with to give us a base to work with or scale the injectors 10-15% below their stated flow rate and adjust the latency table to give us that starting point?

Shouldnt this be on NASIOC? I mean injector scaling is injector scaling more or less. The Subaru software calculates like most other things, but surely someone there has the latency and scaling for this WRX?

Its is, work with the latency first, let the car idle for 16 mins and see where your fuel trims are at. there are tons of write ups in this forum and NASIOC. Thats where I pulled my info from. This I did 16 minute cycles of cruising steady throttle to get the injectors dialed in. From there tweaked timing and maf scaling for WOT runs.

Nasioc is where I told him to look. He said that he couldn't find anything helpful over there. He must have not looked hard enough. I just posted this over here to see if I could get some info to help him out. Thanks again for getting those tables for me.

You mentioned the CEL Light was flashing.... Make sure you unjump the cable after uploading the new revised map.

As someone else said... Watch your short Term Fuel Changes and work off that. It will get you in the right direction.

Fix your fuel leak first for sure...
