gauge layouts

Is there a way to get the gauge templates to show stats like a regular gauge without pressing the datalog button or playing back a datalog?

no something to request from Evo4mad,
I have a screen setup in the car and the virtual dash is excellent but constantly having to press the start button is a pain
I wish it would autoconnect and the datalog part was seperate,
