They are late to the Evo game and frankly, aren't interested enough to churn out top notch products and support.

Sad but true.
They probably thought the GTR was cool enough to drop the Evo X development for it.

Unfortunatly this will also make them drop the ball on the Evo.... again.

Well, fortunately for anyone who is inerested in the COBB products, they had a JDM version of the GTR to R&D and one of the locals that I wash, had the first USDM GTR in the state, collaborated w/COBB to get the AP (for the GTR) out relatively quickly. Hopefully for those who are interested in their Evo X products, this means they will be able to refocus on the X.

My whole sense of their interest in propagating excitement and a real turn key profit in the Evo just isn't there, it seems. To me, it seems like they get preoccupied with eccentricities of the moment, but always have their bread and butter to fall back on, read: Subaru.

Just my impression.

I have to say, however, that I am impressed that they finally released AccessTUNER Race for the sub 08 model Evos. I quickly downloaded to check it out and laid out all the tables and the help file is fairly easy to read and in depth enough to make marketed changes a functional reality.

My .02 cents.

Yeah, I hear so many good things about them, but my accessport for evo experience left such a bad taste in my mouth. Literally over a year of waiting, got it..... and then nothing but problems from tuners and users. Flashing took forever, I didn't find the device particularly handy... and now that I have map switch ecuflash is t3h pwnage.
