SOOOOOOOOO everyone must have been expecting this thread to be posted. Any insight to if and when it might be available?

We have had the Evo X here in New Zealand since nov 07. Ive tried to pull a rom from a friends X and it doesnt communicate. I was expecting this as they have changed to the CAN bus.

Evoscan and Mitsulogger worked though which is good news

 

I would assume if and when people have the ecu available to decompile. Who knows what Mitsu will be using for the new ECU.

 

I spoke with Colby on this just a few days ago. He's built a working CAN cable. He just needs to get his hands on an X to figure out how to get into the ECU, download the ROM, and then start a disasm.

You guys might want to consider talking to some of the guys in the 350Z tuning world as the Nissan ECU also uses CAN architecture. It took a while, but they cracked it.

We could not get the tool we needed today so I am hoping for tomorrow.
