How to install/use a wideband O2 sensor?

Hi gurus, i searched but did not find any usefull installation guide of a wideband O2 sensor.
1. can i just replace my original lambda sensor ?
2. can use the output directly by my stock ECU (and Evoscan)?
3. do i need special interface ?

Thanks for any help!

I am far from a guru but :

1. You weld a bung into the downpipe before the cat
2. No outputting from ecu, evoscan can link to most popular WB02 models. Some include specific logging software i.e. Innovate's Logworks
3. By interface, I assume you mean logging software, see above

There are multitudes of setups people employ around here. Search terms like LC-1, zietronix and a bunch of useful threads will show up.

The Innovate LC-1 is very popular. Innovates website has a PDF manual for the LC-1 you could download. It is very informative.

as far as number 1 goes, it has to be between 10 and 2pm.....so no condensation gets on the sensor

Evoscan can log most of the popular widebands. Innovate also has its own logging software that can be used. Other brands probably do as well.
