Where to mount wideband O2 sensor?

I will be getting the AMS TB exhaust system with the test pipe. Can I just put my wideband sensor in the rear O2 sensor bung, or does it need to be mounted elsewhere? I will be running an O2 simulator to get rid of any CEL problems, so I wont need the rear O2 sensor anyway. All related comments welcome.

Thanx, Andy

If I remember correctly about 18-24 inches after the turbo.

You would want it near the turbo yes, but it doesnt have to be. Dyno tuners just stick a sensor in the tail pipe if your car doesnt already have one.

Why would the AFR change from near the turbo to near the muffler? I wouldn't think it should be any diffrent, but I'm no expert. If it's more accurate near the turbo then thats where it will go. Thanks for the help. Anybody got pics of where they mounted them, so I can get an idea what will work for me.

Thanx, Andy

It will work fine in the test pipe or mid pipe if you dont have a cat. I have mine in the mid pipe, and as was mentioned when tuning on the dyno they put it just inside the tail pipe.
