wideband sensor?

ok i jus bought a speedcurciut test pipe, and if anyone is familiar with those he has an extra bung for a wideband and a bung for ur o2 sensor.. well the bung for the o2 sensor (that has like a j bend in it so u dont get CEL when u put ur o2 sensor in) well the o2 sensor bung is up front of the test pipe and the extra bung for ur wideband is in the middle where ur stock one was on ur stock cat.. so my question is..

i put my o2 sensor in my extra bung and my wideband is in the bung that has a lil j in it so u dont get the CEL.. so will that cause my wideband not to read the air/fuel correct or is it ok?

It won't work if you do that, are you sure you don't have the TP installed the wrong way? Can you unscrew the J-Bend and put it in the rear O2 location or is it welded in?

That seems odd. Try sending KoolDino a PM on the other site, maybe he can help you out better.

I'm assuming you are talking about the rear/cat o2 senor? If not and you are talking about the front one, it needs to go as far forward as you can get it.

If you are talking about the cat 02 it needs to go in the closest to the rear bumper bung. Get a spark plug deflour and drill out one of them using a 1/2 inch bit. You can get the deflouer at autozone or advance auto. The wide band needs to be in the middle./ closer to the front 02 senor. This is the only way to get accurate readings and to have no cel.

are you using the rear 02 senor for the cat as a wideband to get reading of the a/f to the gauge? Or do you have three 02 senors 1wideband 1 rear 02 and 1 front?

the rear 02 senor doesnt read a/f only the front one. the rear just makes sure you cat is working right. hints why you need the deflourer if you have a test pipe so you dont trigger a check engine light.

that is what it looks like.. i have my o2 sensor in the bung closer in the back and my wideband sensor up front and u notice the bung at the front has a specail anti fouler on it... thats why i wanna know if the wideband sensor has a anti fouler on it if thats ok and my readings are still accurate or if i need to swap them!

the wideband needs to be flush against the test pipe. NO deflouer...deflouer is only used for the cat 02 so you dont get a CEL. Get the first 02 senor where its at.
