Immobilizer code - other reasons
I have a buddy who is doing his own tuning, and his IX runs pretty well. I wanted to try his map. I loaded the hex file on my laptop, went to the immobilizer code field and changed it to match my ECU file.
When I load his map, with my correct immobilizer code, the car won't start? Luckily I saved my original map, reloaded my map, and the car starts fine.
Is there someplace else preventing the car from starting? I have the correct immobilizer code, and the init code. I don't know any place else that needs to be correct? Both cars are 2006 IX's.

I haven't tried copying maps that way, is it as simple as copy and paste? or do you have to copy and paste each individual cell in each table...now that would take forever...
Immobilizer problems
I agree with mplspilot that you should be able to copy and paste as much as u like without having problems with immobilzer....BUT

What U are describing happend to me as well.
I found out that my ign tables didn´t have any values..... Everything looked fine in ecuflash but something had happend.....it shouldn´t but it did.
I had to copy and paste it all over again. Just to make shure that u have usable values u should highlight them and increase all values by 1 and go back again.
It worked fine for me......

Yeah, just click and drag to highlight the area you want to copy. Then you just right-click it and copy the highlighted area (or hit CTRL+C). Then you highlight the EXACT same area in the other rom and just right-click the area and select 'paste' (or hit CTRL+V).
