Start problems after rescaling ign map

Canīt understand why my car wont start after modifying my IGN map for higher scale. My Car is a JDM Evo 7 with maximum load on ign map at 260.
I have rescaled it and removed load 50 and 70 and have a maximum load at 300 now. Everything looks ok in ECU flash but the car wont even start with my modifyed ROM. Have to reflash other ROM or Original to get it to start so it has to have something to do with my rescaling..

Any suggestions?

Is you immobilizer correct? Reload you original ROM and try it again

Yes, check that...immobilizer. Need to be in developer or advanced mode to see it.

JDM Evo wouldnt have the immobiliser anyway. Malmoe, can you attach a copy of the ROM to this thread as a .zip file and then we can take a look and see if there is something else maybe?

In and of itself, rescaling shouldnt do anything with the start up. I havent had an issue in the hundreds of cars I have flashed (or the thousands of times I have flashed mine).

problem is now solved!

Could be interesting to know what the problem was.....

Problem is now solved.
It wasnīt the immobilizer.

I had copied the whole ignitiontable from an other ROM and just pasted it into my own map. The problem is that all figures wont get a value just being random copied figures. I thought that they took its value by themself so that 38īwould be 38ībut obviously not. I did it manually all over again and the car fired up rigt away.

Should it be like that or did I just copy in a wrong way?
I have heard people having starting problems on OpenEcu forums.
Maybe they made the same misstake?

Lars (pardon the earlier name confusion),

That could very well be what the cause was, especially if it is now fixed. Again I havent had any problems doing that, but I havent tuned a stock ecu 7 either. Maybe its part of the unique characteristics of that particular ROM family. Glad to hear that you have it fixed though.

Happy tuning

Hi

What is your ROM ID? There are one or two deff files out there that don't quite behave as they should, which is probably my fault as I was messing with the ignition scales when I posted them up for people who needed the fiel.

Rom Id

Thankīs for your earlier replies. My ROM id is 99860002 JDM EVO7.
Everything works fine now with my ign tables and I have done a quick tune with E85. The car drives a like a dream, but!!!! I still get boost/fuel cut at aprox. 20psi. I have changed Boost limits to 295 wich would be at least 27psi?

Is it the stock JDM map sensor that causes the problem.? Have heard about your sensors isues on UDM car but never on JDMīs.

Hi Lars

Sounds like your definition files are incorrect, your ROM is not one of those I have worked on, I really sugest you flash the Boost cut table back to stock. In the mean time I'll see if I can get a better xml out to you, might take 24 hours or so. Certainly the xml I have for your ROM is a bit off.
