Has rescaling your load caused the car to bog when the engine is cold?
I rescaled my load on my fuel and timing maps. Then I noticed that the car was running like crap when the motor was cold. I was able to fix it by disabling the periphery bit called "ign retard during warm up".
I hope this helps someone. Maybe I am just dumb and everyone knows this, but it eluded me for a week or two.

If you scaled the load axis by removing 70 and 90 load columns, then you may also need to modify other maps that use the same load scale, such as, EGR ignition advance, and low coolant temp timing trim map.
If only an extra column (such as 280) is needed, what would be the best column to delete?

How does one "Scale" the load in the timing and fuel maps?
...I know, I sound like a newb, but one of the many things I have not read anywhere. Most maps I have looked at are always scaled already, so I never have had to do this on my own.
To the OP, thank you for the find. I wonder if this is also similiar to the "Idle Stability TIming Control" that you can add to the timing section of the xml? It seems as though they do similiar things at idle...
And when you mean ran like crap, can you elaborate. I am still chasing a flash flood start... 90% of the time, she fires right up, 10% of the time, she wants to act flooded, and will idle at 250 rpm, and it is only when she is warm, not hot, not cold, warm...she been ran, shut off, and let sit for 20~30 mins, and then trying to start again.

How drastic were the load changes in the 0-60 columns?
There's a cold start ignition map that could cause problems if there was a big shift in load scaling. I have only seen this map defined in the 96530006 ROM though.

I just map a thread about this. here.

Also to fix your car from boggin while cold, make sure you correct after rescaling your timing maps.
"low coolant temp timing trim map"
Then your car will run proper.

The map I posted has a different address than the "Low Coolant Temp Timing Trim Map"
