Good to know in case the e-check requires more work. Thanks again.

I just tried this but my car wouldn't start after uploading the new file. The car cranks but won't start. All I changed was what was in the first post. What could I have screwed up? I put it back to the file I had before this and it was back to normal, just without the patch.

I made a backup of the stock file. I think I'm going to try to redo it and see what happens.

Any ideas?

Just looked and I did have the wrong info in one of the boxes. In the second to last box for the Rear 02 Sim Hook-test, it shows it should be 0x0003 and I had 0x0000. Maybe that makes all the difference.

I'll see what happens.. Hopefully it's my own retarded error.

Hi Eric,

Is this mode works also for 88840017 Rom version for a EDM evo 9?

I currently don`t have a cathalytic convertor on my car and I had this code on after I change the exhaust.

Since I`m not able to use Evoscan yet .....to read the values of the front O2 sensor after this disabling procedure......it`s safe to frive the car like this without checking O2 front sensor after reflash? The reason is that my only cable that I hold is Tactrix Openport 2. Can I use another program for test like Active Matrix for checks on front O2 sensor?

There is any connection in therms of "working together" between front O2 and rear O2?

Until disabling rear O2 sensor and I had the check engine light on......I face a lot of idling stambling issues and after disabling the car seems much better from this point of view. No idling stumbling at all.

Thanks!

Thanks Dave,

I will try your mode very soon.... in the momment that I will recieve the 1,3 cable from Hamish.

I`m a rookie here but still I tried to catch up with you guys by reading a lot of your posts.

About this issue... I will run your mode definetly and I will keep U updated

Since I have only Tactrix 2.0 I can`t use Evoscan and definetly I wanna read some log data form my car in order to have an ideea about what I have now and what I will have after using your mod. This will be more like a research for my knowledge.

A good friend help me with "O2 rear sensor disabled" in periphery bits but still I need to check if everything is ok with the car and it`s safer to use it.

This is the reason that maybe I am confused about this rear O2 sensor disabled mode and about how this will interference with the rest of the management of the car.

Thanks

Take care

now all we need is mrfreds heater patch, i know the resistor mod will fix it but it would be cool to be able to just add the patch and be done with it.

Thanks for the info. Sorry for a newb question but I've searched and can't find an answer. I've added the table code from the first page to my 96940011.xml file. However when I open my rom image in ecuflash, a new table isn't there where I can edit the values to set up this patch. Am I missing something here? Do I need to add some table data to the generic evo7base_20081101 xml file to make this table display? Thanks, Steve.

I don't know how but I missed this tread a while back... I was going through a divorce then

Just a heads up I haven't patched this yet, but I can report that when just disabling the rear O2 in Periphery bits LTFT Low and Mid will not read in Evoscan or Mitsulogger...like if you need to scale injectors or check your fuel trims... I will be flashing this to the car in the morning and see if my fuel trims begin to read again :fingerscrossed:
