750-800

make sure the car is warm first

then enable BISS mode - then adjust the idle.

then you can either reset the ECU OR wait for it to wake up (as it will rev high for a while)

I just did this and it didn't work out extremely well. Still having a stalling issue on a fresh port on USDM 05 Evo VIII.

My car did not do this at all.

Also knock, good god this rom knocks its ***** off compared to 40011. I thought mine was just knocky... but his car is now too. It's f***ing annoying. And I don't like being in the habit of seeing knock I'm supposed to ignore... then all of a sudden it will be real, and I'll be mentally used to ignoring it.

Not good for the longevity of parts.

Why does this rom knock so bad at part throttle compared to the old rom?

So....I am helping a friend update his ROM from 96940011 to 96530006 and have run into a few issues.

It seems that roms in the WIKI are not completly up to date with all of the patches and such resulting in me having many unsupported tables in EcuFlash.

Can someone please send me a fully up to date 96530006 and the .xml files to go with it????

I would normally update everything myself with hours of searching for everything, but time is under the crunch because I leave for vacation in a couple days.

Thanks.

Paul

You can also look in the V6 thread and download V7 Beta 6 and then download Phenem's XML. Be aware the B6 version is beta but seems very stable.

open your current rom
copy over any TUNED table values into the new rom
write the new rom to your car

You will also need to have all of the xml data correct for the following
96530006
evo7base

If using Tephra mods the following xml data must be correct
96530006
96530006-v5.10
evo7base
evo7base_20081101

If using Tephras Rom the following xml must be correct
TephraMOD-96530706-v7t6

Oh yeah.....

you have to copy over your immobilizer code, or disable it completly. Details on this is in the Wiki under downloads, then click 96530006.

Make sure you have the newest version of ecuflash too.

Then copy the two xml's into rommetadata>mitsubishi>evo directory.
