I tryed to datalog my evo9 using evoscan (latest version) and tactrix cable and couldn t get it to work it connect succesfully and reconnect 1 sec later and dissangaged connection! and the excel files for that +/- 1 sec of log gets created but is unavailable (file doesn't exist). can anyone help? I know I am probably doing or forgetting something stupid so please you guys don't be too hard with me it is my first attempt!
Also, I can't get my ecu flash to work: when I try to read/download ECU a blank window opens and nothing happens, can anyone helps?
Sorry for asking stupid questions but I am trying to learn and read a lot but I couldn't figure what I did wrong.

As far as logging what items do you have selected in EvoScan? If you don't have a wideband you can't log wideband, if you havent setup your ECU for 2byte load / rpm / airflow then you can't select those.

Try logging with just these selected

battery level
throttle position
engine rpm
injector pulse
airflow hz
air temp
speed
load calculated
knock sum

 

thanks I got the evoscan problem fixed my baud rate needed to be set at 62500,
but when I open the log on excel they re all mixed up, how can you change that? (maybe because I am using the latest excel version?)

 

What do you mean all mixed up? Its not to do with the latest version of Excel that is for sure.

that would be one line all written in cell A5! Instead of having the values in different cells?

The logs are stored as CSVs (Comma separated values) and thats what each line looks like. If excel is opening the log as a CSV (ensure the extension has not been changed) and showing each line as a value instead of a row then Office is probably just horked. Uninstall/re-install or try something else that opens CSVs such as Open Office maybe?

 

I foud a way to open them as regular excel file (import external data as text, select the cvs file , then select comma) and it finally opens each commas as a different cell... codgi thanks a lot for the help!!!

Is your ECU setup to use 62500 as a baud rate? Did you make the mods to the rom to allow this?

 

thanks codgi I change it back to 15625 and it all works fine!!!
Now I can't get ecuflash to read my ECU! I click on read ECU and a new window opens and stays blank???
