Intake temp?
Intake temp?
Is the intake temp measured at the MAF, or is it measured somewhere else? The reason i am asking is I was dynoing my car yesterday and the ambient temp in the dyno room was 100* according to the dyno. My intake temps were showing between 120*-130* on evoscan. I hade a huge 220v fan blowing on the front of the car too.
ya its a really good idea to put a thermocouple on the outlet of your intercooler or somewhere along the inlet flow path to see what temp your really at. Good way to know for sure your limits.
You need some of this action - cold air box.

I'm working on the prototype right now, and doing a lot of testing. On the dyno it's hard to get good airflow, even with big fans. It takes REALLY big fans to simulate real driving conditions.

I've done this at the track on a hot day. Intake temps richened up the mixture 1 full point., 11.3 to 10.3. I leaned it out to compensate. Then on the drive home on the freeway the car ran 12.4 afr with the cooler intake temps of the evening.
The Evo X has intake temp sensors on the MAF *and* on the intake manifold so this should help a bit more to tune using actual charge temps after the intercooler.
