Pros and Cons of having the stock MAF in blowthrough mode

What are the pros and cons of having the stock MAF in blowthrough mode? Better drivability? More power?

I didn't think we could make our MAF a blowthrough. To my knowledge the Karman vortex doen't like boost pressure. Also the IAT sensor and the Baro sensor will read different than it normally would causing your load points to change.

So, there would just be cons.... no pros. If the ecu guru's figure out how the ecu gets 2-byte load then you might be able to change the IAT and Baro compinsation tables in the ecu. It doesn't seem feasible in the near future though.

blow through is usually done using a GM MAF and a MAFT. some people leave the Stock MAF in place, but do not use the stock MAF as blow through.

Like stated, Karmann MAF's don't work in blowthrough. Hotwires MAF's are much better suited, hence GM MAF with MAFT or MAFTPro.

you can pick up a used 3'' gm maf on ebay for less then $50 or from a junk yard. MAFT will run you about $199.00.

Not to thread hi-jack, but I just yanked off my blow thru setup with a GM maf, MAFT, and all the UIC piping. PM me if your looking to go with this setup.
