Burping at 5 grand

my buddy just picked up an VIII not sure what year anyway it isnt stock at all and the boost controller in it is set to 21psi (says the kid he bought it from had it tuned)o and NO wideband!, now he takes me for a ride and the car burps almsot like it shot a flame out the back at 5000 grand when hes WOT i pulled his maps and heres what i find...little help as i still consider myself new n am willing to learn on my car but not anyone elses,
i logged the car heres the first thing i dont understand theres a huge airflow gap
@ 4406 rpm airvolume is at 240 load is at 216 target AFR in ECUflash is set at 11.1 in that area(most of it actually) and timing is 7*
heres what i dont understand then the airvolume drops from 240 to 56 load goes to 253 and i have that logged at 4656 rpm now @ 260 load at 4500 rpm the timing is set to 3* and the target afr is still set to 11.1

i dont want to even touch this, shoot me your thoughts, hes gunna have it tuned either way but im curious

o and its massive loss in power like it had me stuck in the seat then like loosened up big time car came from virginia btw

If you at least post the log, we might be able to help. Screenshots of some of the tables may help as well.

It sounds like to me it may be fuel cut. The air volume is mislabeled in EvoScan...I don't know what that is, but it isn't useful for logging until we know what it is.

Load jumping around like that could be due to the MSB/LSB chaning at that point. We won't be able to tell that without seeing the logs.

What are the fuel cut conditions set to in his ROM? The boost limit and boost cut delay timer tables?

Well, it's not fuel cut then.

Possibly a misfire...have your checked the plugs and gaps? Just hard to diagnose without logs.
