Yeah, me and MR Evo IX are using the AEM solenoid. Look in my posts or the 3 port thread for our info.

Also, anybody looking for table info... there is a ton of information in the 3 port and JDM MAP direct boost control threads (even if you don't have either).

I only had a little time to play today... All I managed to start with was 0'ing out the correction and work on getting my boost set where I want

I'm still struggling to get this stuff I don't get why some maps have the first few columns set to 159.4/100.. some have more columns set to this some less.

I finally did get a good log of 3rd gear so I have some data to learn from. I'm missing out on a good chunk of tq though I'm looking for 22psi spike and hold as much as possible up top.

Set all the tables the same.

Also looks like you are getting some correction past 6k. Your BDEL is too low.

Match your BDEL to your load. Have you changed the boost variable yet?

What do you mean set all tables the same? The first maxed out colums of the BDEL and MWGD tables?

With my mods I'd expect a 260 spike on 22psi and probably tapering to 240 by 7500 rpm.

I've adjusted toe BDEL from 5500 up to better match load.

Variable for boost control is set to 0x895C from the other thread you mentioned. Also I'll add back error correction once this is good (obviously)

I removed these from my xml (#2-#4) for both sets of tables. I can add them back and make sure they are the same. Fixing it now!

I'm not sure what tutorial I was working on when I did this.

Whew finally got my "Max Total Upward WGDC Correction vs TPS" table showing up.

This thread isn't really about the tuning aspect but holy crap is the info I need spread out and confusing.

Sorry to steal the topic, but this is related. I knew the GM boost solenoid doesn't come with harness but how the BCS wire up to ECU, specifically which ecu pin? I'm about to install Haltech BCS where there's 2 wire, 1 goes to 12v switched (no polarity) and another goes to EMS PWM output.

The other table is the BDEL-tabel. It should more look like this one (with a base of 100% and a desired boost of 250 until 5000RPM):

7000 - 130 (normaly, this table sould have the same scale as the above table - it's just a example)

Why?

The engine spools up that way a lot nicer and softer than trying to catch the values in the BDEL at around 2500RPM (with the MWGD-table) in order to correct all the way up with the BEC-table (in both direction up and down) and there is really no advantage to set the values different as shown up here.

The table Max Total Upward WGDCC sould also not be zeroed-out because of diff.
reasons:

- it is better drivable not to have the full power in lower TPS regions ( at around 60%, if you dont press the pedal completly)
- there is some air in the boost-system for different weather conditions for upward corrections if the values in the MWGD-table
are a little too small.
- smoother spool-up, cause it adds less to the MWGD - table or even it also can reduce these values

The conclusion of all the tables above is, that the BEC-table can have verry low

-17.5 - 1.5
-15.0 - 1.5
-13.0 - 1.0
-10.9 - 1.0
-8.9 - 1.0
-6.8 - 0.5
-5.3 - 0.5
0.0 - 0.0
5.3 - 0.5
.
.
.


Furthermore, the tabel named WGDC correction upward delay should never have the value -1-!
Because the boost-system (Hardware) is not able to change as fast as the software wants. I suggest to fill in the
value -2-. It is fast enough to react on changing situations and it's slow enough not to overreact and
correct a certain point twice.


Try it out, it works fine!

Technically kind of, but basically no because the air would get "trapped" against the wastegate. Don't do it.

I'm having a little trouble understanding everything there, but I'd like razorlab's opinions on your boost control techiques. I'm one of those people who gets "stuck" in 5th gear at 13psi when my correction table lowers things too much sometimes, but don't want to raise my baseline boost (direct boost control method) table and have alot of upward correction at the beginning.
