I talked to Colby on the phone this evening. A few Tactrix cables made by Tractrix (50-100) and some of the early cables sold by Limitless (EvoScan) need a firmware update to work with newer versions of ECUFlash. Contrary to what I said earlier, Limitless is now selling legitimate Tactrix cables. Limitless can help with their cables and Tactrix can help with any cables they made.

So then the question is, how can I tell who I got mine from? haha. It was a long time ago and I keep terrible records. =D

You don't remember where you bought it?

GOt my cable from Tactrix a long time ago. Is there an identifier to determine if the cable is affected or is it a try and see thing?

You sort hit the nail on the head. The crux of the problem with cables bought from Tactrix/Mynes is that they lost the track of the identifier for about 100 cables in one batch. :-)

For cables bought from Limitless (EvoScan), its something different, but bottom line is that Limitless is obliged to provide a fix.

God no. I'm lucky I can remember who makes the damn car.

You should see my ROMs folder, every ROM has a text file with the same name detailing everything that is different from stock, and what the default values were. My memory is horrible.
