I think you are out of luck if you want to log boost through Evoscan. You can on the Evo 260 using any map sensor because it has essentially the same ECU and pin outs as USDM evo 8s. JDM uses a different pinout configuration. You can long boost with zeitronix though. Have a look here http://www.zeitronix.com/index.html

It can be done, but a little wiring is needed. Need 5 V power, ground, and then need to run the MAP sensor signal wire into an unused ADC input on the ECU. Several people have done it now of various Evos. If you haven't search yet, try searching. Also, have a look on aktivematrix.com.

To be able to have psi based boost control would be great but im assuming this would require changes in the rom, unfortunately there isnt much info around for the 93660005 romid as its a JDM rom. Any idea what would be involved in getting this working the install of the sensor and wiring wont be to hard but its just the new definitions and addresses for the rom that is the problem.

Very minor ROM modifications are needed to log boost. Somewhat more extensive, but not difficult (for me) ROM modifications are needed to control boost with the MAP sensor.

today connected both lc1 and apexi map signal wires to:
map to pin 74
lc1 to pin 73
on a jdm e8 3plug ecu.
now in evoscan i see 3 mut 38 requests all 3 show readings but the value doesn't go up or down blipping the throttle
i see a few "wideband" references lc1 o2 e8 mod and wbo2
lc1 is request 12 gives a reading but again doesn't move
wbo2 3c gives a reading and responds to throttle but scale is wrong
can some one help if i email my roms and xmls?
update: the lc1 is now working just boost to sort
also corrected pin connections 73 is lc1 now

cheers fred i think the issue is, is pin 74 on a jdm e8 3plug request 38 tho?
even if the scale is wrong we should see some movement!?
i even did the 1.5v battery test and could see no change
