Well basically no matter what is says in your ignition tables, the ecu doesn't run less than -10 degrees.

Some of us are trying to make ALS systems work on their cars with the stock ECU and to do this we need to be able to run less than -10 degrees..

If any of the disassembly gurus can jump in and fix this for us, it would really be great...

 

I'm not at all optimistic about this being remotely easy to achieve because of the vast amount of code the ECU uses to control timing, its seems endless when you look at it, and based on DSM disassembly (things are usually a development of the DSM) it probably uses different routines for different timing angles because sync points from the cam or crank sensors will be different depending on the timing requested. I don't think it is as simple as just removing a "-10" limiter.

The one person that has a cat in hell's chance of knowing is "Bez Bashni".

 

I seem to remember a quick fix for the VIII's limit of -6º. I could be wrong though ...

If any of you gurus would wanna take a stab at it, i'm sure you'd be helping a big bunch of people...

I guess i'll wait a couple of days, see what happens here and try to contact bez, see if he has anything to say about that.
