EcuFlash, EvoScan, ECU Patches - Organization Needed
As I understand it, 015 is in fact the latest ROM from Mitsu for the VIII. However, if the Tephra patches are a priority, only the 014 is considered golden at this point and time.
According to...
Tephra 5.1
Tephra 5.8

Right. It is listed as a "test" version. Once proven reliable, Tephra has in the past changed the modded ROMs to "tested" and lists the members who have tested and proven the ROM.
Unless something has change from past experience.

Ahh I hear you. so not so much that the 014 is golden meaning better/preferred, but that it has been tested "good".
Well once I play around with the 015 on my car this weekend (time permitting) maybe I will play around with Tephra mods. Granted I'm a Joe Schmoe but if enough of us say we tested it that has to count for something

Would you be will to work on only those roms? What other roms are needed for international markets?
If we want to start this standard rom convention, we really need to start with you.
88590015 - USDM IX
88580014
94170015 - '03 and '04 USDM VIII
96420011
96530006 - '05 EDM VIII (Replacement for USDM '05 VIII)
96260009
90550001
88840017
So do we agree that in total the only roms that will be further developed are
03-05 JDM VIII - 96260009
03-05 JDM RA - 90550001
03-04 USDM VIII - 94170015
05 USDM VIII - 96940011
05 EDM VIII- 96530006 (Replacement for USDM '05 VIII)
06 USDM IX - 88590015
06 AUDM IX - 88580014
06 EUDM IX - 88840017

I'm not sure if the forum supports it, but I have seen it elsewhere. I like the idea of subfolders, but it would be nice if we could have a conglomerate forum made up of the sub forums. IE you are in the main folder you see all threads for all forums, you search with the same degree of not so limited results. However, click on the ecuflash forum and you will see only those threads, search only those threads, etc etc.
Loving the organizational ideas though.

I write my patches for the EU/German 99860002 EVO VII id.
02 EUDM VII - 99860002
03-05 JDM VIII - 96260009
03-05 JDM RA - 90550001

Just add to the list id you know of a ROM ID that needs to be supported. Based on the 002 designation, I'd be willing to bet that there is an updated ROM for the VII.

Once there are standard rom version, the patching process will be MUCH easier for the end user. You should have to do almost nothing but download a couple files and transfer your map over to the latests tephra rom.
ECU definition files and evoscan settings files will be already editing for each of the standard rom version and will be able to be downloaded as well. Instead of having to manually edit them. (Ted B's idea)
