I'm still using 1.30 but would also like to upgrade. I suppose I could try 1.38 but it would be nice to go to the latest and greatest if they work with the hack.

Question

I have the same issue, so here is what i do: I use the latest version of ECUFlash to open my ROM and edit the data using the latest XML, and then switch to the old 1.29 ECUFlash to read and write data.

I haven't noticed a problem using this method, I don't use 1.29 to edit anything, and all the changes I make in 1.4x seem to write fine, even bobbelbits (or whatever they are called).

Its a small pain in the *** to switch back and forth. You need to make sure to name the install directories differently to keep the copies seperated.

Maybe i'll try this hack later. Good Luck!
