Is it possible to log with Openport 2.0

Hi All,

Just got an Openport 2.0 cable. I can read with Ecuflash 1.38. I was wondering if it is possible to do any sort of logging with this cable currently?

Cheers,
Rift.

It will shortly.. I know I personally have been working on getting logging to work with MUT-III protocol, if its the same for the CAN equipped cars, it'll work for them, if not, I have more work to do.

Standalone logging with OpenPort 2.0

Along the same lines, has anybody heard anything about software to enable standalone datalogging with the OpenPort 2.0? I've got this nice shiny MicroSD slot that I'd LOVE to make use of, but no software to configure the standalone logging, nor software to do anything with it.

And it will be SUCH a handy feature to not have to lug a laptop along on all of my logging runs...

I can't wait to upgrade my OpenPort 2.0 from paper weight to an actual functioning $170 device.

The standalone logging is probably a pretty big job to do. You have several different types of cars that you can log, not to mention OBD-II and CAN-Bus (Direct) logging.. Of all the options, I'm sure OBD-II and CAN Bus will be the first of the standalone logging to be completed as its got the largest market.

I think the other logging, MUT and SSM protocols, among other proprietary ones will probably come later, or you might have to add functionality for it as needed.

In order to try to "Speed up" development and get some logging ready for the 2.0 cable, once my reference code works for MUT-III logging, I will probably just add support directly into the current version of mitsulogger (along with the bugfixes I have been intending to make) as some of the other features I have been working on in Unilogger are pretty advanced, and aren't ready to start beta testing.

This won't mean CAN bus logging, but at least it will place the Openport 2.0 cable as a useable replacement for the earlier cables.

As much as we're all looking forward to Unilogger, for those of us with OpenPort 2.0 cables, it will be a GREAT help if you could add logging to Mitsulogger. We thank you and await the new version with bated breath...
