I never had an issue with the P0300 but decided to disable it anyway just to eliminate one more thing......I have 0 issues to report, car runs just as fine as it did prior to disabling it.

Now all we need is to be able to always have all monitors "ready" and disable some more of this garbage

Good work as always mrfred

Sounds like there are more and more periphery stuff to disable. Is there anything worth while even in the periphery?

Anyway, I deleted my SES code, and uploaded the ROM with perhiphery2, bit 4 adn 5 disabled and everything seems good. Only drove to Taco Bell and home, but it didn't come back. Like someone just said before the cold start will be the real test of whether or not it works.

I made these changes last night and this morning, when it was 41 degrees in my area, I had no P0300 code!!!! Thanks mr.fred! I appreciate your patience and help through our correspondence yesterday. Now if I can just get the high idle problem fixed... LOL Great work once again!!!

I'm confident in saying that mine is gone. I've driven my car enough this week and before couldn't go more than about 5 miles without seeing it.

I just finished updating my ROM and Hex. I will load it to the Ecu tomorrow and report back. This would be awesome if it kept the code away for me.

So I have run a quick test. So far so good.

I have the 94170014 rom with the Tephra patch including the knock light mod. Disabling the bit didn't remove the knock checking, but so far, no p0300.

I need to put a few miles on the odo to verify, but so far, it looks like a success.

The only thing that this bit controls is the P0300 test. I guarantee that it will not affect the knock light (or anything other than the P0300 test).
