The code I have in the std rom under ECU_PERERHERY 2 is 0X8889.

Can anyone help me as I am at my wits end as it happens every 10 mins.

Thanks
Lee
mate of mine has the very same issue
seems the perephery bits are not correct for this evo 7 rom
or it just disables the test not the actual code or something
anybody got a proper solution to this problem ?????

I just did this yesterday, and it seems to have worked perfectly. So far it hasn't come back on yet. But a quick question to those who have disabled it....are you now able to get the car inspected without any problems? It won't fail because of this correct? I have inspection coming soon and i need a solution to this if i can't go get it regularly inspected.

You will pass as long as this is your only code being thrown.

You did something wrong because setting the periphery bit to zero disables the test, and its not a hack or workaround. Its a built-in feature of the ROM code.

It could be entirely different code.

Finally sat down to do this. Followed along with the youtube video (easy enough), loaded it up and drove it. No issues and no more 0300 codes. Awesome.

If you already have the CEL and reflash to disable the test will the CEL go away?
