disable P0300 test
Hi,
I keep getting a P0300 fault code, it happens at 65-70 mph in 5th gear when cruising.
I am using a evo7 ecu with the 9055001 rom.
Bits 4/5 are set to 0, I have tried the 0XEFCF code in the ECU_PERERHERY 2 and still get the P0300 code.
The code I have in the std rom under ECU_PERERHERY 2 is 0X8889.
Can anyone help me as I am at my wits end as it happens every 10 mins.
Thanks
Lee

seems the perephery bits are not correct for this evo 7 rom
or it just disables the test not the actual code or something
anybody got a proper solution to this problem ?????
started getting this code aswell, just cruisng around 30-40mph, E7 (9055001) ecu in an E6

I just did this yesterday, and it seems to have worked perfectly. So far it hasn't come back on yet. But a quick question to those who have disabled it....are you now able to get the car inspected without any problems? It won't fail because of this correct? I have inspection coming soon and i need a solution to this if i can't go get it regularly inspected.

You did something wrong because setting the periphery bit to zero disables the test, and its not a hack or workaround. Its a built-in feature of the ROM code.
