I just Screwed up....HELP!

I just Screwed up....HELP!

I went over to flash a tune into my buddys IX. I had a tune ready that I was going to copy over. I plugged in the Tatrix and WROTE to the ECU insted of READING it! So the car wont start....This was a Virgin ECU and I dont have a Stock Flash....what do I do?

You can disable the immobilizer in his rom you'll have to search on exactly how though

Well my car is totaled so I was going to just put my ECU in his car.

I think I got it covered....I think Malibu Jack has a bunch of OE ROMs. I just need to check the ROM ID and get a new one.

Yea but that doesnt account for the immobilizer

even if you get the right rom file its not going to have his immobilizer code in it. the only map that would have his immobilizer code in it, is the one that you just erased.

unless he has that stock map somewhere else, the only way to get it started is to disable the immobilizer code. its really easy to do.

If you lost his Immobilizer Code by not backing up his rom no ecu change or download of software will help. You need to disable the immobilizer also.

OMG Thats terrible!


Put your ecu in flash it to stock, cut a new key have the dealer add the immoblizer to the new key.

Or just run with no immobi. Good luck!

Change to 56D2

Here is what i would do - steal his key and throw it away. When he thinks he lost it tell him not to worry, now that you were forced to disable his immobolizer feature he wont have to pay the dealer a ton of money to flash the new key.
