All I really wanted was the knock CEL, and when I first got back into tuning I found the V2 thread, not the V5.1 thread. The V2 worked great and I didn't want to redo all my work. Same reason I'm not on a 0015 ROM, don't feel like recreating all the mods and such.

My car is sitting waiting for some work, and more break-in miles to run real boost. But I'll try this out for sure.

I'm also having this problem up 2psi...but I'm running a non modded rom.

Didn't we change the load variable for boost control ? does returning the load variable to the original will compensate load for temp variation?

70 degrees last monday for me. This morning it was 5. I was driving in 10 the other day though. My car boosts a little higher in the cold, but not crazy like yours. I'm not sure if its the mods or the guy behind the laptop making the changes. Either way a temp adjustment would be nice.

Mines not crazy....it will be off like 2-3 psi depending on temps.

2-3 psi is a big deal, especially when you are tuned to your psi limit

I had my first issue w/ temp. change and overboost this weekend. In Cali??? So I have been tuning the car in 70-80* + weather, and this weekend w/ all of the storms, and it being winter and all, it was ~ 60 ish, maybe less, and I over shot boost by almost 4 psi... Way too much! This is w/ "direct boost control"... I was under the impression this method would account for weather temp. change a lil better than this... this was the reason I changed from load based.

I should have probobly put this in mrfreds thread, but I ran into this, and thought I would share my findings... I'll add it to his as well.

Looking forward to the new version Tephra! The gear dependant boost control should be awesome!

whats your WGDC correction interval set at?

generally overshoot on spool is a hard one to fix (without temp corrections) because everything happens so fast..

+1 Im in tx and I get the same thing, car set up for 25.5pis or so, yesterday nice spool up of 29psi...... using direct based.

WGDC Cor interval of 1 (on both)

Also i have upward TPS set to 0

I still get spikes in higher gears, I have lowered drastically the WGDC in the lower rpm ( lets say under 4000) but then car spool slower in target gear (3rd) ... any ideas? thnx

Help please in my problem.
http://photofile.ru/users/aik_evo/135197616/
Sorry, but I can not upload this pic. because its very big.

My 4-gear rpm/mph = 67, 5-gear = 50.5 (in specifications, but I'm not sure).
My #1 cards for 5 gear, #4 card for 1-4 gears. #2,3 cards the same as #1.
WGDC cor. intervals = 3.
Loggs with 3 and 5 gear are correct, but with 4 gear really creasy (you can see it).
I think that in this logg boost jump between #1 and #4 cards, but why?
Did I need decrease CROSSOVER, how mach?

I change my 235/45R17 wheels-tyres to 205/55R16 for winter season.

My min temp for closed loop changed from 0 to 40, it can be important?

May be anybody help me with proven gear ratio for my car?

Thanks.

Finally got around to trying this 96940011 USDM MR

It works really well on first try. I set the switch point to 103 between 2/3.
Before I would get 21-16 in 1st/2nd and 22-20 in 3 then 22 flat in 4.5 Never got flat out in 6th <yikes>

So now I get 23-22 pretty flat in 1st and second, then 23 holding flat to 7500 in 3,4, ran out of room on I-75 in the wet here in atlanta tonite :0

It is accessing tables 3 in 1,2 gear and tables 1 in the upper gears. 1st and 2nd is much stronger now.

If the Tephra mod includes the gear based 3d table as he was dicussing, it will change my mind about not loading the 96530006 universal ROM . For autox this will really help out big time.

Next mod is to get the ACD reflashed to really tame the understeer. ANd take advantage of the new found power. <huge grin>

gear dependent boost for 88580014

Has anyone done the 88580014 ROM for gear dependent boost ? I have a friend Im helping tune his rom and would like to do this for him.

Specifically the address needed...I 'm OK with the table itself and the calculation as well as what tables to modify for WGDC and BDEL

Thanks in advance

Milburn
