My recollection is that nothing happens while the clutch is pressed, but someone needs to verify.

I mean what happens if the clutch is worn out and starts to slip when clutch is depressed. It might get errors and nobody will know why boost does make strange things. Some error routines witch shuts off boost might be good.

if you clutch is slipping then boost control is the least of your problems.

I had the problem with slipping clutch only at peak torque at cold weather, i wasn't feel anything. I just found out by viewing my logs, with gear based i might had problems and had bought a bigger turbo than a better clutch

Maybe boost cut off is to extreme, but whats about a new error code?

P9999 - rpm/kph ratio missmatch

this will show wrong rpm/kph setting.

I don't know how difficult a new error code is, or if someone everlooked deeper at the error code routines. It is just an idea from a guy who has to much free time now. It's winter, car is in the garage untill april. Parts are orderd but not here yet.

but how do you know the rpm/kph ratio is wrong? there are no other inputs to verify the system.

anyways I tested the new system a little this morning, and the gear still jumps a tiny bit - I will post up a graph later today - but I am still thinking of averaging out the ratio variable...

hrmm I am not sure whats going on here, even with my averaging forumla i am still getting stuff ups.

HOWEVER when I run the math by hand (ie manual rpm/speed from evoscan) it works fine... I am thinking of ditching that variable and just make our own rpm/speed...

if the rpm/kph has a other value over a given period than defined in the table.
for example:

if ratio table says: 40, 50, 60, 80, 120, 170

and you get another value, but if the ratio is still jumping, it won't be able to be very accurate. so it was just an idea, now we can ignore it
I haven't thought enough about it.

mmm that would be ok if the ratio variable wasn't so coarse

lets get the system working first then we can enhance it

This is going to be quite the next patch. The only feature i am still interested in is having NLTS on/off using the gas pedal like the valet mode.
