EvoScan v2.6 And New EvoScan GPS/Logger/Reflashing Touchscreen Review
I personally think that a GPS is the best option, unless you are a tuner, then a laptop is the best option.
This is what I do:
1) GPS will log wideband via usb to serial cable. See my website for one of those.
2) GPS will log to sd card, so you just take the sd card out when you get home and analyse it on the big screen. (even a laptop is not the best for this)
3) if your tuner wants you to send a log, just take the sdcard out of the gps and then email the log from the sdcard via your home pc.
4) if your tuner sends you a new hex rom file, just put the hex file back on your sd card, and then walk out to the car, and Flash it to your ecu using the GPS.
Couldn't be easier. (if you are your own tuner, then you may want a laptop, so that you can edit the values on the passenger seat with a laptop, but personally this is a PITA) I prefer to leave a tune in for at least a day before making any rash decisions about altering the fuel/timing/scalings. So a home PC map edit at the end of the day is fine for me.
In the future, versions of the Evoscan GPS will be things like map editing and live tuning.. these upgrades will be free softawre upgrades for all users... so support this effort by buying one now

I am right that only the Innovate WideBand is the only one that will work with the GPS?
It works well on my laptop using Evoscan (most versions). When using it with the GPSnav PPC it says error connecting to LC1.
I'm looking at Evoscan and it seems to start up without any errors but when I try to select ECU type while OpenPort2.0 is selected there isn't an option for "EvoIX" in the drop down menu. Is that normal? How will I go about logging my Evo IX?
Thanks
Thanks

AEM wideband support for EvoScanGPSNav is work in progress. Along with EvoX support for EvoScanGPSNav is work in progress. Along with about 50 other enhancements is work in progress
good things take time.
