EvoScan v2.6 And New EvoScan GPS/Logger/Reflashing Touchscreen Review
Okay so here is the thing you need the folder and files in the most forward window. Look at the location of the files in address bar. See I have the Zip open in the download folder and I have my EvoScan folder that is in the Program folder. The back window is the zip file. What you do is drag the single file from the zip and replace the EvoScan.exe file in forward window. You don't a folder like this? If you don't you didn't install the first EvoScan correctly.

Heh. I think we need another thread thats just for the gps logger. That way all the evoscan noobs can use this thread for questions about why vista is such a bad OS...lol
Okay so has anyone tried Beta3? I did a pull today and it didn't log my AEM WB at all. All "0" in the values of the spread sheet. Not sure if it was just my end acting up or if it's EvoScan. I'll try a pull tomorrow.

I'm trying to decide if I should buy the GPS Navigator or a laptop, because at the moment I have to borrow a laptop which isn't the best. With the GPS Navigator, it sounds like the Innovate LC1 is compatible and will connect and be logged by the GPS Navigator, is this correct?? If the GPS Navigator can't log from a wideband, then it sounds like the laptop is the best option. I'm totally new to all this, so hopefully my questions aren't too stupid.
Thanks, I'm thinking I may buy a netbook. About the same price as the GPS, but it can run alot more and can use any wideband instead of just the Innovate, plus run the standard pc version of Evoscan, and can even read the log files etc. Only thing a netbook doesn't have is the GPS, but then I'd hardly use that anyway where I live.

This is what I do:
1) GPS will log wideband via usb to serial cable. See my website for one of those.
2) GPS will log to sd card, so you just take the sd card out when you get home and analyse it on the big screen. (even a laptop is not the best for this)
3) if your tuner wants you to send a log, just take the sdcard out of the gps and then email the log from the sdcard via your home pc.
4) if your tuner sends you a new hex rom file, just put the hex file back on your sd card, and then walk out to the car, and Flash it to your ecu using the GPS.
Couldn't be easier. (if you are your own tuner, then you may want a laptop, so that you can edit the values on the passenger seat with a laptop, but personally this is a PITA) I prefer to leave a tune in for at least a day before making any rash decisions about altering the fuel/timing/scalings. So a home PC map edit at the end of the day is fine for me.
In the future, versions of the Evoscan GPS will be things like map editing and live tuning.. these upgrades will be free softawre upgrades for all users... so support this effort by buying one now

EvoScan v2.7 Beta4
Map Tracer Fixes in v2.7 Beta4
- Download Here
- Now loads xml files rommetadata from ecuflash without relying on an old ecuflash path registry key
- Now loads 2 or levels of xml includes. (which was the case with USDM EvoX xml rommetadata files.)
- Now added the CAN OBDII data.xml file
- Now realtime graphing stays in Sync when ticking more dataitems.
Future Map Tracer suggestion improvements:
- Allow the map tracer to only display the selected range on the Line Graph.
- Allow support for Evo5 roms
If you wish to add to this improvements list, let me know.

Awesome. Map tracer seems to work. But curious when you are viewing the AFRMap log with the AFR table shouldn't they be the same?
As for suggestions...here are mine:
1) The ability to edit a map and save it in the Map Tracer. (For Evo X)
2) Add a AFR Calculator to the right column of the Map Tracer. Like I added in photoshop here:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...trace_idea.jpg
The AFR Calculator would use the following formula: NMAFR=DAFR X MAFR / AAFR
AAFR = The Actual AFR
MAFR = The fuel map AFR
DAFR = Desired AFR
NMAFR - New map AFR
Adding those would make it so much easier and faster to edit a ROM!
Also is there plans to add the ability to Read/Write to ECU for Evo X? Along with DTC's? I'm tired of using PCM every time to check and clear a DTC.

I personally think that a GPS is the best option, unless you are a tuner, then a laptop is the best option.
