I need it on in one version and off in one. I have one instance for logging and the other for displaying gauges. It needs to be setup this way in the front end software I am using for the carputer.

hmm what about the EvoScan gauge setting called "double clickable" to start "datalog to file".. is that suitable?

You are getting better but my gauges have alot of items being displayed while when logging I only need a few items. I thought about doing it like that but it still isn't ideal. I think i am going to launch the programs with a batch file that will also change to reg key to the proper value. I have thought about this alot and it seems as it is the only way.

I have not tried this, but in theory it should work

Create a new Windows user account.
Log into windows using the new account, install Evoscan and set the options as you need.
Log back into windows using your "main" account and use the "Run as a different user" option to launch your second copy of Evoscan.

nope that won't work because its not the LKCU (current User registry Hive) - I'll msn Hamish and ask him to add a commandline parameter for it.

2.7.0031 here...

(apologies in advance if this has been fixed in a later version, but I haven't seen anyone mention it)

Apart from the below problem, it's awesome

First 'bug' I've found is in the graphing vs maptracer.

Maptracer displays the name of the logged items correctly, whereas the grapher doesn't?

(FYI, this was simply a test, logged with just the ignition on, no engine running. It does the same when it's running though...)

Pic below:

they have to be in the same order and the load must be logged and correctly defined or it will have you running round in circles

Same order?

That only used to apply to certain items like PW & DC% when one value is used in the calc for the next.

Never had any problems previously and I've tried both ways of editing the items (data xml and through the EvoScan list).

Never touched the load in this version as it appears to have been fixed.
(my old version had 1 byte renamed to EcuLoad and EcuLoad renamed to EcuLoadOLD iirc)
Either way, other entries are obviously wrong, but only on the graph, NOT on the maptracer.

Is it possible to make a peak and hold gauge in the Gauge creator?

Ideally I would like to display the max boost of the current session of positive boost. So if I go WOT and hit 25lbs it would show that, then I let off and get back on it part throttle and hit 15lbs, it would display that. Basically anytime the boost went positive it would reset the peak value. The Blitz boost controllers do this and I think it is a great feature.

I've tried but couldn't make a peak and hold gauge. If anyone's been able to figure this out, I'd be interested also.

Peak hold gauges are only available in the GPS/Nav version of Evoscan. I'm sure Hamish will implement it into the PC version soon.
