Ok definitely need some help here. Got my 5 bar kalvico sensor values plugged into the rom like PVD04 did. I then put the value for the map 16 bit scaling in for the map and ve calibration table. No matter what i do the car runs super rich at idle, checking the evoscan 2 byte load value puts this car literally off the scale at 2700 or so load.

I must have something screwed up but i don't know what. I'm assuming at this point the cause of failure is the map sensor values. i'm using the 94170015 rom. Any tips would be welcome.

You've changed the map 16 bit scaling and then corrected the values in the table afterwards?

See if PVD04 will send you his ROM?

Still having issues but this is a little better. At least now the load isn't showing up as something so insane it doesn't make sense, load now at 45 during high idle. It's idling high now and still super rich but the weird thing is i noticed when i started logging IAT the value is pegged out at 180F. Checked the voltage over to the sensor and i'm seeing just about 5 volts is that correct?
l
I have a second sensor i tested it with with no better results. I'm very confused , I don't know if this could be why the car is running super rich atm.

Do you have a VE log from your MAF sensor?

There is a fault or configuration problem if your IAT is 180F.

I would suggest comparing the details of your setup more with PVD04 since he has it working.

I'm on a 2.3 stroker, so your VE tables will probably need to bumped down a bit compared to mine.

Will do.

Can anyone verify the color of the wire for pin 77 i have blue with a white stripe.

Verified the wire doesn't have a short.
Verified the wire gets 5 volts
Verified the ground is attached.

Still getting 180F despite an identical copy of PVD04's rom. The only other thing i can think of is the request ID for some silly as hell reason isn't 09 on my car. Or that pin 77 is a different wire than i have attached.

Edit:
While we are verifing things can MrFred or Banks verify that the air temp patch with SD looks nothing like the patch without SD? I'm comparing the roms to download trying to diagnose this problem.

Sorry I have no idea on the wiring or the air temp patches. Sounds odd, but the JDM IX I've done just runs all this on stock sensors/wiring. The mod started out for me as literally a few tiny bits of code and has grown arms and legs from there as applied to other versions. Does make it rather difficult to fault find. On the Evo 7/8 I've advised on people just wire their inlet manifold temperature sensor to the IAT wires in the MAF plug and there are no software changes.

RoadSpike,

Are you wiring the MAT sensor in place of the IAT sensor, or are you using the fuel temperature circuit so that its possible to flash back and forth between MAF and SD control?

The fuel temp sensor or so I think... pin 77 according to your post.

Well figured out why the MAT sensor was pegged at 180F. Apparently the SD patch didn't have the MAT patch applied to the rom for ID 941700015. I assumed the SD patch somehow modified the air temp portion of the patch so i left it alone. However after getting my hands on a stock rom and comparing I determined the patch was just never applied.

Applied the patch and everything suddenly works. Only have to fix a pretty rich tip in problem now.

Does anyone have the settings for the omni 4 bar map sensor yet?

Glad you got it. You are correct that the SD patch does not have the MAT patch applied. (I'm pretty sure that this is stated in the instructions). I did this because some people may choose to read MAT using the IAT input. In this situation, the MAT patch is not needed.

Cool must have skipped over that somehow in your thread.
