Cranking enrichment
Cranking enrichment
Hey all, I've made the switch to E-85 and so far I'm enormously impressed with what the stuff will do. My problem is that here in chicago, it's damn cold and the car will barely run for the first minute or so after it's started in the morning. I read about a cranking enrichment table the should be in ECUflash, that is supposed to eliminate the problem, but my version of ECUflash does not have it. Does anyone have the definition for the cranking enrichment table that I could paste into my current version?

Hi from Palatine
We can't be much help without even getting your romID. Searching for "start startup e85" got me right to the thread.

Use the IPW adder table to allow easy starting, but after the initial start it no longer is a factor. I am running E85 in Midwest IL and car starts in -15 degrees, but is very sluggish the first few minutes. I did adjust my coolant temp for open loop and that helped a bit.

The defs for 88590015 are in the newest ECUFlash included XML. If you don't want to download it I believe there is a thread on here with some of the definitions.
(OE values left, mine right)

Also note, I had to actually raise the cranking IPW, but I only have 780cc injectors right now. There is a formula in the other thread for getting the correct values.

My ROMid is 94170015. I guess that would have helped to add originally.
Also, Hi fost. I've never noticed you were in IL despite learning quite a bit from your questions on other threads

Your values are way over what I have just using the 1.3 factor. What was your scaling?
