Boost Limit dependent on Boost Control Load Offset?

While tuning my Evo 8 (94170015) with the 3-port selenoid installed, using load-based boost control, I´ve exceeded plenty of times the stock boost limit parameters for longer duration than the Boost Cut delay timer (1000ms) and it has never actually CUT.

I´m wondering if the boost control offset (changed from 60 to 200) is responsible for this? (never seen it mentioned, i´m guessing NOT).

In case it isn´t, what do you think of changing the current Boost Limit parameter address (3614) to the "Boost Desired Engine Load" parameter address (44f8)?

Thanks.

AFAIK The boost limit is based on boost load, not fuel/ignition load, so if you are logging 2byte load then it will be slightly different than boost load.

Offset has nothing to do with boost limit

Good to know. Still, over 300 in 2byte load and no boost cut seems extremely weird.

Offset has nothing to do with boost limit
Thanks for making that clear.
