mrfred and others. today was the day that i had to smog my car. i was really nervous but it passed fine.. all but one part. when they went hookup to the cars ecu (obd2 port) they said they could not read it at all. i have not tried to hook up the laptop yet. but would changing the periphery values prevent them from being able to hook up to the computer?.. i have p0300 disabled and that's all.. other then that i cannot figure out why they couldn't connect.. anyone have any ideas?

try going to autozone and have them read if you are getting a code. also check the back of the obd2 port for cut wires or something.
