need a dedicated tester for TephraMods

Hi Guys,

Normally I run new code up on my car before releasing it here.

Now that I can't do this (grrr!!!) I need to find someone that is willing to help me test new versions out.

Basically:
1) needs to have good communication skillz
2) needs to have a decent knowledge of patching/flashing/evoscan/tephramods so far
3) needs to have the time and patience to test
4) needs to be thorough in testing various features
5) preferably someone with ICS and the AltMap harness

I will be doing V7 very very soon, and need someone to help test out new features as well as OLD ones.

I have made a LOT of changes to V7 (from V6) and I expect that it wont work first go so I need someone with a lot of patience to go back and forth with their old ROM until I find and fix bugs.

Thanks dudes

V7 is a big rewrite of a few things.

that's why almost everything will need to be retested

new to V7 will be altmaps by TPS (like valet) and 0% WGDC on valet

If you .... (ahem, ahem) .... got around to 80700010, I could give you meaningful feedback. :-). Not only relatively local, but you could even communicate over phone if needed.

can we get more info on the altmaps by TPS? Like how you would have valet mode and altmaps on TPS at the same time.... Why do I feel like this is gonna be a map switch that lasts a little while once the car's tps exceeds a certain %?

that would be AWESOME! not sure if there would be any transitional knock issues though?

no you wont be able to use Valet AND AltMaps-by-TPS at the same time

Also AltMaps-by-TPS will only be activated/changed when RPM=0.

This was included because some guys don't necessarily want to install a harness and don't have ICS. It's not perfect (have to disable Valet mode, have to have the car off) but its better than nothing

Options are always good! I know I'll use valet mode more then an alt map so I'll stick with one map and valet. I just love seeing the tire/alignment place guys confused when they hit my rev limiter and shift real quick so maybe I wont notice. Then rev my car out and hit 27 PSI or so when I'm leaving lol

I just flash my car to switch maps. unless there was a good way to build a map that saved me gas but the way I drive, there's no point in changing maps. Now if I had an EBC or 3 bar solenoid, it would be a completely different story.

How different is the alt maps code going to be in v7? Kinda curious because I'm working on a flex fuel patch for v6.

I'm pretty sure he said that both options would be there multiple times.

------

I'd love alt maps by TPS. I have a switch now, but I only change when I change fuels and have only used the valet mode once or twice.

Would it be possible to do something like 5 seconds switch to altmaps blink 5 times, 10 seconds switch to valet blink 10 times (or vice-versa)? Then you could do both and just keep the two independent flags you are using right now....
