hey just wondering if anyone has ever had an ecu fail days after a reflash, just trying to work out if it is a coincedence or related. i have an evo 7. original rom id 98640014 that 4 days ago i relashed to 90550001 now it appears my ecu is faulty and reading the tps as 70% open even at idle, checked all cables etc. the throttle valve is fully closed and the tps itself measures up ok .5mv at idle and 4.8mv at full throttle. yet when checked on a mut 3 it reads 3000mv and in evoscan reads 70%

 

no one had this happen or possibly offer an explanation

 

Been reflashing same ecu weekly, sometimes severl times a day, since 2006. ECU works fine and tps always read 1-5vdc properly in LOGWORKS

 

i suggest checking the wiring from the tps going to the ecu.

 

i confirmed it was a failed ecu, have fitted a replacement and is now working fine. obviously im a little wary about reflashing the new ecu, i understand it may have just been coincedence that it failed after the flash, but wondered if there is some differance between the original jdm tps curcuit and the euro ralliart curuit???

 

no ones had a failure after a flash??

 

did you try flashing the dodgy ecu again with a stock 98640014 rom and trying it again.
