The DTC Disable thread (P1235, P1241, P1238, etc)
Tephra, thanks for all of this posting, but its making me wonder if my car is slow or fast. lol I've hit one of the airflow limits once a few weeks back. I adjusted the right tables and have yet since gotten any of the CEL's in regards to airflow. And, according to VDR, my power has gone up. I guess my question is, if the car is tuned right, is any of this necessary?
The airflow maps are checks put in place for the DBW setup. I actually took our shop car and cut all the airflow maps in half and did the fix and guess what everything was perfectly still in check. The biggest problem is when you start making large power these maps become a night mare. No one has really come up with a formula for what they are looking for and how they all interrelate. This solves that problem completely.
I just wanted to add a very useful tips for all the "BOV VTA ricers
" (I'm one of them) apply the DTC Disable patch and no more part throttle problems !!! I did the test for the last 3 days and it's working perfectly. i'm now going back to stock, the HKS SSQV is really anoying.

Just wanna say I was having problems with Limp in 5th gear part throttle using Gunzo 91oct map. I did lots of logs and was not in the boost limts they are set pretty high limits. Did DTC setup and work great got be in the air/flow limits then right? Thanks tephra for all of your help on this. (went pull code and are autoparts store got there scaner stolen.) also im at 5000 ft here in Wyoming if that matters.
hahaha..... Atleast people are helping out around on this forums. Im learning self tune my own car man. Did not ask for smart *** comment. Just because its taking work away from you guys don't mean you got bash people for what they want to do. If i wanted go with E-tune I would have went that way. Anything wrong with that?
EDIT: Also its not a free tune its a starter map. Its 100% safe to run (IMO). Evoscan tells it all and i can work off it from there. If there something wrong with people helping other out let me know?

none of us came out of the womb knowing it all so kudos to you for picking it up and running with it, that's the same thing I did too. Certainly give us a shout if we can help.

Hi Guys,
Can the people getting P0140 OR P0138 for the rear02:
1) check that your ECU OPTIONS 2 points to 0x50082
2) Post up the HEX of 0x50082
3) Log 0x8087FE (2byte)
4) Log 0x8087F0 (2byte)
Post the results
I have looked at the code and can't see anything obvious as to why 526800XX differs from 530400XX in this regard.
Thanks!
D.
